M. V. V. Subba Rao is a seasoned Chartered Accountant with over three decades of extensive experience in Finance, Accounts, Audit, Planning, Procurement, Corporate Finance, and SAP implementation, particularly within the mining and public-sector environment.

He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has had a distinguished professional career with The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), one of South India's major public-sector coal mining enterprises.

Professional Experience

Mr. Subba Rao joined SCCL in 1975 as an Assistant Accounts Officer and progressively advanced to the position of Chief General Manager – Finance & Accounts, the highest position below Board level in the Finance discipline, in 2006.

During his approximately 36 years of service, he gained comprehensive experience across several functional areas, including:

Banking and International Finance

As the head of the Finance function, he played a significant role in the implementation of the SAP FICO module at SCCL and contributed to its successful implementation within a short timeframe. The organization was subsequently recognized with the SAP-ACE 2010 award in the Metals & Mining category.

He also participated in international banking discussions and negotiations in Germany relating to Letters of Credit and foreign banking transactions.
